Every cells of the body keep on taking oxygen in every three minutes in place of carbon-dioxide and the carbon-dioxide is expelled outside by exhaling, but some air remains left in the body. Therefore, deep breathing activity of pranayama is done to expel internal impure air. There is an expansion in the chest by the breathing activity and excessive air can be gathered in the chest by extending the chest. The internal organs remains as neat and clean as much pure air is inhaled in the lungs by the pranayama.

Pratyahara (retraction) -
The activity by which a person subjugates all his senses and stables in inner soul is called pratyahara. The person separates to himself from the worldly things in pratyahara. If the person keeps control on his senses properly, he can remain far from many problems, which originate caused by senses.

Subjugating senses is called pratyahara. There are five parts of pratyahara yoga in eight parts of the yoga. A person needs worshipping shadow to control the senses in which he remembers the God who makes such parts and emotions in the body in his mind by which senses become stable in inner soul by separating from the external things.

In reality, the mind is such point of the body around which thought as joy-sorrow, slavery-freedom and happy-problem keep on moving around. If the mind feels sadness in any special activity, the person feels slavery, pain and problem, but if the mind remains free from any type of desire and fear, he feels joy, freedom and happiness. By the way, the aim of the life should be getting good things instead of getting pleasure. However, common people are not able in understanding this importance of the life.

The main aim of the pratyahara is to stabilizing the mind by purifying the inner soul and generating spiritual thoughts, good feelings in the mind, and giving knowledge to the person about his existence and real truth of the life. Getting blissfulness and self-satisfaction while doing the practice of pratyahara. The person should centralize his mind towards anything or getting knowledge from the pratyahara.

The person, who follows the rules of yoga, keeps on progressing on the path of yoga by abandoning all types of greed and passion. He knows that the greed of worldly things is the cause of the destruction of life. Yoga activity is difficult but it keeps the mind and body healthy and provides the high position of the life.

The person, who practices pratyahara, feels supernatural power. His mind becomes refulgent in the light of divine light by becoming fresh and clean by which all the greed and desires of the worldly things are finished in the human mind and he feels the knowledge of soul coming out from the thins as joy-sorrow, luck- bad luck and respect-disrespect. Making feel divine power and self-knowledge is pratyahara. The person gets the power of self-control and stabling the mind in it.

Dharana -
The dharana has sixth place in the yoga practice. To end inconstancy of the mind, concentrating mind on any point of the body or external thing is called ‘Dharana’. In dharana, the mind is concentrated between the eyebrows, front part of the nose, anahata chakra situated in the middle part of the heart or on navel chakra.
The person concentrates his mind on any thoughts or thing in dharana. The power to concentrate and stable what he gets by the pratyahar, he gets the capability to contemplate and reflection by stabling his mind on anything in dharana according to that power. Internal conscious of human becomes awake in dharana by which different types of thoughts gather in the mind and all mental depressions end. Any things cannot be got without dharana. The person concentrates his mind on the thoughts related to God or knowledge. Therefore, the person cannot get self-existence or self-knowledge until he concentrates his mind on God (who controls the world).

The mind becomes pure properly by the practice of dharana and merges in God. The soul controls the mind. When the mind and soul join to each other, the person gets self-knowledge. Mostly, there is no relation in the soul and mind of people. If the soul has no control on the mind, the mind involves in the desires because of this reason he traps in worldly evils and finally he meets his end by doing bad deeds. There are many such types of people, whose minds go on wrong path by falling in the excitement after coming in the grip of worldly evils.

In such condition, the person feels difficulty in concentrating his mind. Such natures of the mind are basic mistakes of human nature. Such emotions of the human mind are as old as the construction nature of the human being. So, to save the mind from such nature, a solution has been searched in the yoga before long time ago, which is called “dharana”. The person stops his mind from meandering and meditates on anything according to his desire. Like this, he succeeds to achieve his aim by Dharana.

Concentrating mind on anything in dharana is necessary. The mind should be concentrated on God shape or anything-thought by keeping it stable. The mind should not be deviated towards other things besides constant thoughts of the mind. The person should remain calm for concentrating his mind in dharana viz. his mind should be kept away from the tension, depression and perturbation of the emotions consequently; he gets his aim without any obstacle.

In the beginning condition of dharana practice, many types of emotions or other reflections originate in the mind while concentrating the meditation. Such types of emotions (which originate in mind) can break your constant meditation. Therefore, do not care on such things during meditation and keep on sustaining your consistency, consequently, all the shapes will vanish after sometimes. In the beginning, only concentrating meditation is very difficult. Therefore, concentrate on the flame of candle in the beginning.

  1. The serotonin (5-HT) is a neurotransmitter that is derived from an amino acid called tryptophan . Send messages within the brain and through the nervous system, and participate in many processes such as regulating mood or appetite. In addition, one of its main tasks is to increase the production of melatonin , a hormone that regulates sleep cycles .

To achieve a peaceful rest, serotonin also intervenes in the control of stress and body temperature . “The practice of yoga increases serotonin levels so it helps you sleep better,” explains Dr. Murali Doraiswam, author of a Duke University study that included the review of more than 100 research papers on yoga.

  2. Visualization, or guided imagery, is a variation on traditional meditation that involves imagining a scene in which you feel at peace, free to let go of all tension and anxiety. Choose whatever setting is most calming to you, whether it’s a tropical beach, a favorite childhood spot, or a quiet wooded glen.

You can practice visualization on your own or with an app or audio download to guide you through the imagery. You can also choose to do your visualization in silence or use listening aids, such as soothing music or a sound machine or a recording that matches your chosen setting: the sound of ocean waves if you’ve chosen a beach, for example.
